Using data compiled from all FDA clinical trials for LASIK, and applying the percentage of patients who reported night driving problems at six months after LASIK to the number of patients who have had LASIK in the U.S. since it's approval (six million), over a million patients have night driving problems six months after LASIK.

To answer Dr. Doane's question, "Is LASIK evil or too good", it's clear it's not "too good".

I wonder if the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is aware that LASIK is a public health hazard. I think I'll contact them. I suggest all of you do, too.
