That is crazy! I hear stories like that too! Looks like a ripe case of malpractice! Ive seen them mix the left and right eyes meaning they did lasik on the right eye instead of the left and vice versa! Both eyes ended up seeing blurry!
I know a guy who was -5 and ended up +5! What kind of crazy error is that?
One lady told me a story of one guy who had 5 diopters of cylindar and after lasik he had 10 diopters of cylindar! They blundered the axis and instead of removing it, they doubled it! He did sue and win. But his eyes are ruined and hes almost blind without glasses and doesnt see well with glasses, everything is blurry, ghosted, smeared, distorted. He was told he would need cornea transplants to see well.
Lots of people end up overcorrected, undercorrected or regress. Overcorrection is really bad because you may see blurry at all distances!
