"Where there is LASIK surgery, there are complications. That is an unfortunate reality despite the impressive safety record of the procedure over the last decade."

There was never a safety record! Lasik is unsafe!

Um, did the author happen to mention that surgeons who create LASIK casualties don't have the technology to fix them?

You'd think that would stop any conscientious doctor from performing LASIK surgery, but they keep right on slashing and gashing.

I just wanted to say that thanks to this board I've decided not to have LASIK. Also when the eye surgeon asked,"How picky are you about your vision?" when I asked him about complications.

"How picky are you about your vision?"....

Well, I'd just like to be able to put on my glasses and see one single image without massive halos and starbursts and smeared vision... that's all.

How about aniseikonia, headaches, vertigo, and nausea every day, that wouldn't bother you would it?With disfunctional vision and induced astigmatisms, dry eye etc etc.
Thank God another one saved.
I have family members whose doctors have tried to push lasik on them but they all know better now thanks to me.
I never knew before but doctors are right up there with lawyers when it comes to greed and crookedness.
