A 'FRIGHT' FOR SORE EYES
N.J. TRIAL TODAY FOR CELEB LASER DOCTOR

New York Post - New York, N.Y.
Author: JEANE MacINTOSH
Date: Feb 1, 2006

Emretta Hinman, 40, claims that she went to Dr. Joseph Dello Russo - known locally through his rampant radio ads - to undergo the popular surgery so she could get rid of her eyeglasses.

In 2004, the embattled doctor settled for an undisclosed amount after a Manhattan engineer claimed that Dello Russo wrecked his eyesight. And last February, Dello Russo's insurer was ordered to fork over a $15.3 million malpractice settlement to 16 of his former patients.

Meanwhile, Dello Russo skipped most of the proceedings, arriving at the end and sitting in the back of the courtroom. After briefly striking up a conversation with reporters - and being admonished by his lawyers - Dello Russo slapped his hand over his mouth and said, "I'm not allowed to talk."

Apparently you too are a lasik victim. Have you posted your adverse event with the FDA? http://www.fda.gov/medwatch
It is very important that you post, because that way the FDA has got to keep the records of lasik complications. IN one city, someone with first hand knowledge told me that there were about 300 lasik complications victims and only 65 complaints with the FDA. We have to let the FDA know one at a time, until they are swamped with the complaints that they will have to do something. Thanks., from another lasik casualty.
