The VISX S4 CustomVue reported data to the FDA claiming that contrast sensitivty is improved after CustomVue treatment. This can't possibly be true as we know that VISX CustomVue treatment INCREASES corneal distortions known as higher order aberrations that contribute to a degraded retinal image, especially as the pupil enlarges in dim light.

Is this data for pre-op contrast sensitivity best-corrected or uncorrected? Is it best-corrected or uncorrected post-op? You must compare apples to apples.

"Dim with glare"? What, they shined a light into their eyes in a dark room while they did the test? What happens when you shine a light into someone's eyes?... Their pupils get smaller. So what's the point of "dim"?

"Dim w/o glare"? What's dim? 10 lux? That's what Schallhorn considers dim.

"Bright w/o glare"? As I said, is this best-corrected or uncorrected pre-op?

Using best-corrected data, contrast sensitivity cannot improve if HOAs increased. In normal eyes, HOAs alway increase after LASIK.

Who knows, they probably cooked the data. VISX is pretty good at manipulating data. It's the VISX users who say pupil size doesn't matter. Don't believe anything coming from VISX.

Long time no see, Bill! You stand correct, VISX speaks of lies! Lasik damages every eye, aberrates and distorts every cornea, robs you of your contrast, night vision, gives you dry eyes, induced astigmatism, aberrations, etc!
